God of War /
is a free expansion pack mod that I developed for Duke Nukem 3D. I first released it in 2001; it predates and isn't related to the God of War PlayStation games. It contains:- A new single-player episode with seven levels.
- Five dukematch maps.
- A new multi-player mode called Arena, with five maps.
- Two new weapons, the Flamethrower and the Forcegun.
- Three new enemies and a new boss.
The God of War single-player episode starts in a town near Los Angeles and takes Duke thru to a rocket launch site set in the canyons, the moon, an alien space craft and then finally to a Martian base. Mars is the Greek god of war, hence the name of the mod.
In Arena matches two players spawn in a small map and instantly have a certain weapon and infinite ammo. Each map uses a different weapon. Apart from that, Arena works just like Dukematch.
